This "dishwasher" is a meh at best. It blows anything plastic upside, so that they collect water and do not dry. I've had to unplug it twice to reset the master board because it would not run. All in all, don't buy. I have too much invested, and will live with it until it breaks down like all the rest.

Now that I have had the dishwasher for a bit over a week I felt it necessary to take some time and write another review. Having had a prior Bosch dishwasher that lasted 23 years I am able to write a review of this new one with some comparisons. The overall quality of of this machine is poor compared to the old one. The door is flimsy as well the racks. The guidance to adjust settings was confusing. This machine is louder than the older model. In addition, the drying of the the dishes is not good at all. I used to brag about Bosch and the superior quality of the old dishwasher to everyone. Now, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend anyone getting a Bosch dishwasher. I fear this one won't last long and when it does break down I know I won't ever consider buying another Bosch again.

We were very excited about our new Bosch dish washer. Rated for reliability and excellence, my wife and I were excited to be able to have this dishwasher a very long time. Pretty soon after getting it, the rinse aid dispenser would leak rinse aide from around the housing. We had our our installer take a look and they attempted to repair it, but it still wasn't working properly. Even so, this dishwasher ran great and was very quiet, serving us well for just over two years. And then one day, I turned it on, and nothing happened. If just turned on, clicked a few times, and then off again. We had a repair tech come, who replaced the most common issue: the front control panel electronics. It worked again! For a week. Then it broke. Again. Of course, repairs are costly, and after spending $400+ on the first repair that didn't take, we were faced with replacing more parts and crossing our fingers, with no guarentee of success. So, we decided to get a new dishwasher instead, this time opting for a 5 year warranty. The cost was only slightly more, but with the guarentee of years of service and function. I'm sad to say, that the Bosch we got must have been a "lemon", and ended up as a caustionary tale for those who don't purchase extended warranties. It was good while it lasted, but it didn't last nearly long enough.

We (reluctantly) bought this Bosch because it was the only white dishwasher we could find at our chosen store. How fortuitous for us to have to switch brands! This is the best dishwasher we have owned - sparkling clean dishes, no burned plastic or burning odor, and it holds so many more dishes than any dishwasher of different brands that we've owned over the years. I was upset at first at the small utensil basket, but that slim 3rd rack at the top holds all our regular utensils and they get very clean even up there. Yes, the plastic dishes can be still wet on their tops, but I had that with all my other dishwashers too and those got very hot and smelled like burning plastic. We prop open the door a little for awhile after emptying the dishwasher and the back wall dries fairly quickly.

Excellent dishwasher, everything is very clean, it is quiet, plenty of room & flexibility with racks to load dishes. I didn't think I would "need" the wifi connection, but I really appreciate when it sends a notice that it is out of rinseaid (something I don't often check). Highly recommend.

The Bosch dishwasher is by far the best I've ever owned. It cleans the dishes beautifully, no matter how stuck on and dirty they are. It's very quiet, I have to check the floor for the light to make sure it's running because there is virtually no noise. I also like the short, one hour cycle for when the machine is not jammed packed full. Great investment.

It actually gets things clean. I spend significantly less time preparing the dishes to go in the dishwasher which is just such a time saver.
It is extremely quiet as well. The only thing that has been taking some getting used to is things stay a bit more damp than I'm used to but not a deal breaker

The new Bosch dishwasher is our second Bosch unit. While i would have liked the previous dishwasher to last longer, the cost and availability of replacement parts made it make more sense to replace. The new dishwaser is VERY quiet and does a good job of getting the dishes clean. We like the 3rd rack. We have also found it very important to assure that the spray arm is free to rotate. If it hits any dishes, the load will not get clean.

We recently needed to replace our Bosch dishwasher and we automatically went with another Bosch. The Bosch dishwashers are extremely quiet. They also do a great job cleaning dishes; almost never miss anything on any type of dish or utensil. The one thing I would say is that our previous Bosch dishwasher only lasted 7 years and the required repair would have been $500 or more. Seems like it should last longer given its purchase price. A minor thing, but the new dishwasher only has 1 holder for eating utensils and it isn't mountable in a convenient place. Still, I'd say the Bosch does a great job and gets our dishes clean

I am nearly blind and use speech software on my computer. After purchasing I received several emails from Bosch to rate my purchase experience. In order to do so, I had to select the business I purchased from, but the business was not listed, so I could not complete/submit feedback. Unfortunately Bosch now only sells an ADA model dishwasher in stainless steel The model is shorter (for wheelchair users) and has tactile buttons (for visually impaired users). Because I did not want stainless steel, I purchased a 300 series dishwasher in white, thinking I could use the Home Connect feature. The Home Connect feature has been disappointing so far. Despite setting the dishwasher to always use remote start, I have had to reset it after each use. The stemware feature is only useful if your glassware has very thin stems. On the pluse side, the dishwasher does a good job of cleaning the dishes.

Working fine. Not as quiet as advertised - my husband wonders about the "strange noises" he hears during a cycle. The extra dry feature isn't the best - still very drippy at the end of the cycle. Overall, a nice appliance. I was without a dishwasher for several weeks, so I'm just happy that I don't have to hand wash dishes. Bottom line - kind of a lot of money for an average dishwasher.

Bought to replace our 2 yr old Bosch dishwasher fried by an electrical storm. Quiet, efficient, clean dishes everytime. New model has a few changes, small utensil caddy and delay start is only available through the app which is confusing to figure out. Great dishwasher!

4 Stars - Reliable Performance with Minor Drawbacks
I recently purchased the BOSCH 300 Series Dishwasher SHS53CD2N and overall, I'm satisfied with its performance. It gets the job done efficiently, leaving my dishes clean and spotless. However, there are a few areas where it could be improved.
Firstly, I noticed that this model is a bit noisier compared to my previous Bosch dishwasher. While it's not overly loud, it's definitely noticeable, especially during the night. Additionally, the silverware basket is only half the size of what I was used to with my previous Bosch dishwasher, which is a bit inconvenient when I have more utensils to wash.

This is my second Bosch since my 2007 one finally gave up. The upgrades to rack placements, spray arms, and silverware rack are much better features from my old one. Everything comes out spotless. I'm very happy with my new dishwasher and hope it gives me many years of service.

We love the way it cleans, the quietness, but miss the rinse and hold but as well as it cleans, I guess that's not needed. BUT - the "clean" light doesn't come on. I called and asked for an appointment for repair - certified dealer - one week has passed - no one has called. Disappointed in that !! We would be fine without the WiFi. Very confusing . Why would one use it???!!!

The washing performance per se is fine. The PROBLEM is finding various programs - such as rinse only, half load, and others is very difficult and non-intuitive - and require the Wi-Fi app rather than having dedicated buttons on the control panel. Was unable to implement some "required" features, such as remote start, despite nearly an hour on the phone with Bosch Tech Support. My 10-year-old prior Bosch dishwasher (which had to be replaced because the door springs broke and are no longer manufactured) was FAR easier to use - quieter, with logical controls and a lack of such "advanced" features as the user-unfriendly Wi-Fi.

Had to replace our 20 year old dishwasher when it would no longer heat the water. This Bosch washer is amazingly quiet, I can finally run the washer while watching TV or even while we sleep. The top most tray is great for smaller items. And top controls means it doesn't get turned on accidentally. The flexibility of the app to monitor the device is convenient. Delivery was sooner than expected and installation was quick. Would highly recommend this dishwasher, would give it 10 stars if I could.

I had my previous Bosch dishwasher for 24 years, in Washington State. Now I'm in a condo in California and I immediately replaced the noisy, ancient generic dishwasher with a new series Bosch. I love it!
Also, I am a retired kitchen and bath designer and always recommended Bosch for my clients and their projects.

I absolutely LOVE my new dishwasher. I put it through the paces of dried on, baked on and fried messes, and it cleans without having to rinse and practically wash the dishes before using the dishwasher.
I love the third rack, as well.
My only complaint is that the dishes are not thoroughly dry when using the dry cycle.
Other than that, ease of use and saving me work, combined with the QUIETness of the machine make dishwashing a dream.
